Hourglass Dog Fence Layout
The Hourglass layout is the Best of Both Worlds
You restrict the dog to the back yard and the only way they can get to the front is through the house with you. So if you are gardening or washing the car, your dog can hang out with you and you won't have to worry about him doing a runner down the street.
-
A great way to contain your dog both on the front and at the back yard but will not allow them to cross in between
-
Your dog can come with you in the front or in the back depending on where you are and what you will be doing
-
When leaving your dog on the front or on the back yard you'll be sure that they are still there where you left them
Make sure that the wire that curves at the sides forming the body of the hourglass is still in a single continuous loop from the transmitter and back to it.
You know... That annoying worry in the back of your head when you are gardening - where's the dog - what's he doing - has he run away yet? That disappears!
NOTE:
-
To have an improved transmitter signal the corners should be rounded.
-
The best wire layout should have a continuous loop going back to the transmitter.
-
To avoid tripping over the wire or get cut while gardening, bury the wire 1 to 3 inches on the ground.
-
To have an easy adjustment for breaks and expansion, an allowance is needed.
